About Chelsea
Chelsea Romany graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2015. During her time in college, she completed a variety of athletic and hospital outreaches including placements at the University of Waterloo Athletic Department and Hospice Wellington in Guelph, ON. As an active person who has been involved in sports and her own rehabilitation since a young age, Chelsea understands the importance of properly treating the human body. Her focus is treatment based massage therapy working with chronic, acute or sports injuries, or anyone who wants to move better overall.
Previously, she attended Humber College for Fitness and Health Promotion leading her into personal training. With experience in training, Chelsea wanted to expand her knowledge and skill set into helping others overcome their limitations.
Chelsea is in good standing with the Canadian College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario. She is also a Sports Massage Therapist Certified Candidate with the Canadian Sports Massage Association. Being part of the first five in Canada to be certified in SportStretch® USA has provided her with many more opportunities to help her clients. Click here to learn more about SportStretch®. Through continuous learning, she has been able help her clients maintain a healthy and pain free lifestyle through high quality treatments.
Wanting to pursue Sports Massage, she has participated in many events such as the Pan Am Swim Trials, National Volleyball Tournament, World Masters Track and Field, and other running events. She has previously worked with the Woodbine Race Track Jockeys, as well as girls Toronto Fastpitch Club.
Most recently, she was chosen to be part of a team of SportStretch® certified Massage Therapists who treated NFL athletes for warmup as well as recovery from their daily intense training routine in Fort Worth, Texas.
Chelsea has continued her education in assisted stretching, kinesiology taping, structural balance, soft tissue and fascial release. Her clients are able to see progress through a combination of these modalities as well as home-care exercises and stretches she is able to advise them to do between treatments.
