WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?
According to the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, “physiotherapists are primary health care professionals with a significant role in health promotion and treatment of injury and disease. They combine their in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability”.
Physiotherapists are educated through a two year masters program, and are licensed by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
WHY SHOULD I SEE A PHYSIOTHERAPIST AT ABSOLUTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS?
At Absolute Health and Wellness, our focus is on the assessment, treatment and prevention of any health concerns you may have. Our priority is to restore function and maximize performance of the human body.
You'll always have 1-on-1 treatments with a registered physiotherapist. Our physiotherapists use a combination of education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture, dry needling, taping and therapeutic modalities.
We have an on-site rehabilitation facility and access to a 12,000 square foot, fully equipped gym to assist you through your recovery and return to full activity.
